Main features

Summium sales configurator is an effective tool for quoting and selling complex products according to the customer requirements in the Intranet and Extranet as well as in the Internet. The salesman just feeds the customer information, selects product model and options the customer requires and sends the quotation to the customer.

Summium helps the salesman to sell only valid option combinations and it sets the prices automatically according to the predefined pricing rules. The configured product can be identified with a product code, in which each part of the code refers to a specific part of the made selections.

The two main tasks of the setup procedure are settings of the sales channels and product structures. The sales channels can be structured geographically or based on the existing channels and the sales units can access only the allowed product and customer data.

Product model features

The product model features are very easy to use but also easy to enlarge. The product expert creates the product family which includes all the conceivable parameters and values for these parameters. It's possible to allow all parameter combinations or respectively define some to achieve maximum reasonable configurations. The order data and product specifications can also be exhanged to the ERP-system.

Offer features

The Summium offer tool enables easy discount and margin calculations. It's possible to create several alternatives of offers based on the customer preferences. The final offer document is a high-quality PDF-document which is easy to send to the customer by email. With Summium the offer can automatically be converted to a sales order and the order confirmation may be delivered to the customer immediately.

Summium is based on modular structure.

The installation may include the following components:

  • Configurator - Product configurator that automatically generates a user interface for the requirements of sales and production.
  • Offer tool - Processing of orders and their transmissions by email or fax.
  • Order tool - Order configuration, order entry, order confirmation and data transfer to operative system.
  • Order tracking - Orders tracking in the order-delivery process.
  • Production queue - Order processing in production queues. Real-time tracking of production.
  • Configurator engine - Management of product information (e.g. versions and distribution channels) and maintenance of configuration rules.
  • Report - Extensive reporting possibilities.
  • Admin tool - Administration of user access rights and groups.
